Stories Causing Atlas to Shrug, March 8th Edition

Some U.S. Senators are urging women to dive deeper into Obamacare’s perverse incentives by encouraging them to delay getting health insurance until after they become pregnant.

The uninsured are the most hostile to ObamaCare. A poll found that 50% of this group wants ObamaCare repealed (compared with 42% overall). A mere 14% of the uninsured rate the law as a success, while 49% say it's been a failure. And 60% say it's either raised premiums or hasn't made a difference.

The New Entitlement: Obamacare subsidies made up one fifth of all government transfer payments in January.

Obamacare's Medicaid expansion could cause 2.6 million able-bodied adults to drop out of the labor force.

California has 12% of the U.S. population and 33% of welfare recipients. Texas is the best state to do business. California, Illinois, and New York are the worst.

In 35 states, you can actually make more money on welfare than you can with a minimum wage job! In 13 of those states, welfare pays $15 an hour.
