Stories Causing Atlas to Shurg, June 9, 2014

New Poll on PPACA - Wish it never passed 55%. Glad it passed 38%.

A single night of sleep deprivation blunts the normal morning decrease of a pro-Alzheimer’s brain protein.

On average, people carry $320,000 less life insurance than they need.

Government spending on uncompensated healthcare is less than one half of one percent of government healthcare spending.  (And this was a major argument for why we needed Obamacare.)

CBO: only about 1.3% of Americans will ever pay the Individual Mandate. Sure glad we had a Supreme Court case on that.

Government crusade against fat fed the spread of obesity by encouraging us to abstain from foods that satiate us most efficiently.

More patients flocking to emergency rooms under Obamacare. No surprise there. More patients and no more docs equates to rationing by waiting.

Arizona, Oregon & Conn facing double digit healthcare cost increases in 2015 under Reform according to prelim study.
